Le Val Fourré

Le Val Fourré

I first came across Le Val Fourré through @21_.fall. We connected on Instagram, I sent some SJB pieces over, and he documented them around the neighbourhood with the people around him.

The more I saw, the more I became interested in everything that was happening beyond the photographs.

There always seems to be something going on. Music, bikes, football, people filming, friends chilling outside. Different things happening around the same streets and the same groups of people.

@21_.fall seems to be somewhere in the middle of a lot of it. He’s always smiling. One day he’s shooting something, another he’s around music, organising something or getting involved with younger people in the area. He’s also involved with Les Inventeurs, a local media platform sharing stories and conversations from the community.

What started as a simple collaboration ended up introducing me to a place I knew very little about.

The photographs only show a small part of it, but that’s probably what made me more interested. You tend to start noticing the things happening around the reason you were looking in the first place.

The SJB clothes happened to be there too.
